Meet the Founder
Chloe Thompson
Chloe grew up fascinated with every “Behind-the-Scenes” featurette on DVDs. She began her career in filmmaking her sophomore year at Liberty University.
Upon entering the Zaki Gordon Cinematic Arts Program, Chloe found a love for producing and learned about the producing process from development to delivery, discovering a love of budgets and receipt reconciliation. She hopes to continue growing in the production of films and pursue positions in both the accounting and production offices.
Chloe has worked as an Accounting Clerk on the feature film, The Forge (2024), as well as an Assistant to the Producer and Key Set PA on a TV pilot, Peace Baby (2024). She also has experience producing several short films including, Sound of Faith (2024), He Don’t Know (2024), Strangers in the Night (2024), and How to Say Goodbye (2024).
Why MakMak?
At the age of 9, Chloe’s family adopted her sister, Ruth, from China.
Born with a cleft lip and cleft palate, Ruth had difficultly pronouncing the [KLOH] sound in “Chloe” ([KLOH] - [EE]).
With Makaila being Chloe’s middle name, “Mak” became the first iteration of the nickname, later becoming “MakMak.”
While Ruth no longer uses the nickname, several younger cousins still refer to Chloe as “MakMak".
